FATE conference hosted by MIAD in Milwaukee
The 11th Biennial Conference hosted by the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design marked the 30th Anniversary of the FATE organization. Artists, educators, and scholars from around the country exchanged ideas in Milwaukee March 28-31, 2007.
The conference theme was Shift • Connect • Evolve
This conference centered on the ways to be relevant for the new generation of art/design students. The many conference opportunities were intended to help prepare foundations level educators for the shifts that are taking place because of the new student population, the increased use of technology, and the blurring boundaries between disciplines.
